Science Fiction Romance
"It would be poor manners to get me into this mess and then abandon me."
The war is over. Humans have lost. Aliens have taken over our planet, our homes, and our bodies. There are only a few insurgents left of the human race. Wanderer, a new alien to this planet, has been placed inside a captured insurgent to wrest out information on where any might be left hiding. The problem? The human is still there - one body, two minds. Will Melanie succeed in turning Wanderer against her own kind, and set out to find the lost humans in order to join them? If they get there, will they be able to convince anyone that Melanie is still alive inside?
My Opinion: I think this is her best novel yet. It is also a slightly older read than her previous books. I really enjoyed this story. I'll be the first to admit, I don't usually like Sci Fi - in fact, I think this is one of two Sci Fi books I like. However, the premise was intriguing to me. I love the interplay between Wanda and Melanie and how their relationship grows. I love how the author is able to personify the many ways that humans would react to being overtaken by aliens. The love triangle/square is truly amazing. I really loved this book and would recommend it.
