"And here I thought I was playing with a cowboy."
Seven years ago Sandy lost her heart in a matter of hours, only have it torn in two. Now, she has changed lives in an attempt to move on and find happiness in a little Wyoming town. All is going alright until Ryan McGee, local prodigal son returns to town. The whole town is whispering, not all of them happy that he's back after leaving without explanation of what happened all those years ago. But Sandy doesn't care - he's the first man's she's been attracted to in a long time. But will his hidden past tear them apart? As danger in the small town increases, will Ryan be able to keep Sandy out of a decades old feud? And what about the man that stole Sandy's heart all those years ago?
My Opinion: I think I liked this book even more than the last one I read by her. It was a great story and fabulously written! I loved the way the flashbacks played into the story, as if she was reliving it all the time. The author did an excellent job of keeping you guessing and throwing in twists enough to keep you guessing. Fabulous story. I loved both Ryan and Sandy as characters - well written! The side characters were amazing in that they had enough detail to make them all real people but they got just enough of the focus. I must admit, this book is a little racier than most I review - not to say it's not clean, but some of it is a little steamier than I would suggest for my younger audience. Fabulous book and I would highly recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book for review. No other compensation was given. The summary and opinion are 100% my own.
