"It wasn't like the mesmerizing gaze of a romance novel hero, but like really hypnotizing, and not in a good way."
Danielle has come to London to go to school, hang out with her cousin, and hopefully hookup with a hot European guy. The problem is, most of the guys Danielle has ever met has, let's say, not exaactly lived up to her "Mr Darcy standards". That is, until she meets Ethan. Ethan is strong and gentlemanly - and seems to have an incredible control over her. Is it fate? Is it destiny? Or is it something more sinister? Danielle has her suspicions. Could Ethan really be a vampire - a cursed man? And if so, what future could they possibly have together? Because as much as she loves him, can she convince herself to join the ranks of the undead? Or is there another way....
My Opinion: This was an fun vampire romance. With a few variations on most vampire books these days it delivered what it promised - instant love, evil vampires, good vampires, and a lot of sweet kisses! Danielle is a spunky character full of girliness one minute and a tomboy the next. Ethan is noble, almost old-fashioned but still a debonair hero. For me, the middle got kinda long and boring. It's like the took a break from the action to focus over and over on the little romantic scenes. Otherwise the action was pretty good and fun. An enjoyable read overall that sucks you into a world of vampires and their dark magic.
