"I had real problems to deal with, which did not include the king's silly ball disguised as a dating service for his son."
Isn't Cinderella's plight hard enough when you don't throw paranormal realities into the mix? Cydney has always known that she would become a werewolf as a teenager, thanks to her unknown father's genes. But nothing prepares her for the first time she loses control - during her first kiss. Now, three years later she is back at her aunt's house, with no better idea of self-control and no idea what happened to the guy she's still in love with. Remi will never forget the girl who stole his heart. Granted her transformation left him nearly dead - a state that only a vampire's bite had been able to save him from. But faced with the need to marry to fulfill his father's wishes, he needs to find a way to find his Cinderella again before it's too late.
My Opinion: This was a fun and cute retelling of the classic fairy tale. The paranormal twist gave this well known story a fun new premise and life. Cyndey is a good, quirky character realistically dealing with the problems in her life. Remi is a fun, more filled out version of the prince's character. Their romance is sweet and fun. The classic side characters are well done and finish off the tale. I did feel that the end was rushed and could have been built up a little more to give it a good background and more meat to the story. But it was good for a short read and definitely made you smile and cheer just as you once did for the Disney version as a kid. I would recommend this one.
