The Keeper's Calling
Book 1 in The Keeper's Saga
Time Travel Romance
"Between you, me, and Jessica, we should at least be telling the same lies. Otherwise, we're going to be in a world of trouble. "
Chase Harper didn't expect anything but a bit of fun outdoors from the family vacation before school started. He definitely did not intend to find a magical device that transports him back in time. Saving a beautiful girl there from the hands of her captors sets off a chain reaction of events he never could have expected. The beautiful Ellie knows all about the device and is determined to help him protect it. Seeing no other choice, he brings her back to the future with him. But how is he supposed to pass her off as a modern girl with no family? And what will happen when the people come after the device? Can Chase and Ellie find a way to be together, or is time too far a distance for love?
My Opinion: This was an amazingly well written and created story. I was a bit surprised at how well the author created and explained a believable time travel theory. The characters were engaging and believable. Chase is a strong character with understandable motives and actions. Ellie is a convincing character for her time period and has some spunk to her. Their romance is wonderful and really pulled me along with their emotional highs and lows. It was an interesting experience to read a romance that is solely from the point of view of the guy, but made for a wonderfully adventurous story that still had great romantic elements. An enthralling introduction to what I hope continues to be a wonderful series.
