"Disgusted with myself for somewhat agreeing with their drooling, I rolled my eyes."
Chloe is determined not to fall for the charms of Taylor Anderson, no matter that no one else seems immune. For three years she has put up with his teasing flirts all while watching him with a constant stream of girlfriends. But when they finally have a class together in their Senior year, she just might find that there is more to him than popularity and good looks. Taylor might actually be a nice guy, and may have a secret that he's kept for the past three years. Between old friends and new, and new relationships blooming it would seem that Senior year just might have more in store than Chloe had ever imagined. And a happily ever after just might be included, if only they can get past their pride...
My Opinion: This is a wonderful re-telling of a wonderful classic. Staying true to the original, the author pulls you into a world of prejudice and emotional roller coasters. I loved seeing how she would re-create the many different characters and scenes. This cute story is a tribute to Austen and wonderfully fun on its own. Chloe is a spunky and fun. Taylor is totally sweet and though not as standoff-ish as Darcy, still a good character that you start to love pretty early on. The side characters were portrayed well and while creating the rest of the story also added to the world of high school. A good young adult book that will appeal to Austen lovers everywhere. I am anxious to read the rest of the books.
I received a free copy of this book to review. No other compensation was given. The summary and review are 100% my own.
