Book 4 of Marina's Tales Series
Between the Land and the Sea, The Moon and the Tide, The Fate of the Muse, The Turning Tides
"Ha! I thought, nepotism strikes again."
Life isn't done dealing out trials and problems for Marina and Ethan. Though they know what they want, it seems that everyone and everything is conspiring against them. Edwards and Olivia seem to not have given up on their evil plans to steal the secrets of immortality from the mermaids and Marina is determined to protect them. But what must she do to accomplish this? And will she lose Ethan in the process? As priorities are tested, will Marina and Ethan be pulled apart by their past and their future? Or can they find a way to bridge the gap and be together?
My Opinion: True to form, this was another wonderful book full of excitement and romance. In this final chapter of the series, Marina is faced with her real motivations and growing up. Ethan is conflicted when forces try to tear them apart. Getting back to some more romance, I felt that they had great chemistry and they definitely had some good scenes. The excitement kept up as well as Marina fights to help her mermaid sisters from those who would use them for nefarious deeds. It resolved all the characters, though I felt like it took too much time to do that when it could have been condensed. Overall a fun book and series that I would recommend.
