A Bright Particular Star

Elizabeth Hanbury
Regency Romance

Ice Angel, A Bright Particular Star

"You're not a girl for swooning, are you?"

Theo Cavanagh was doing nothing more than minding his own unconventional business when a young woman literally falls into his lap.  Sophie Devereaux will do anything to escape marriage to her cousin, even jump into a stranger's carriage and ask for help getting to London.  What she doesn't expect is for Theo to offer to accompany her.  Or for her feelings for him to grow - especially since she has plans set that don't involve him.  But Sophie has a secret, one that may endanger their trip, their lives and perhaps their chance at love.  With the help of friends, perhaps they will be able to save Sophie and find that there is more to their futures than they had anticipated.

My Opinion: This was a very interesting book with good action and fun.  There are many characters, both for this story as well as those that are revisited from a previous book.  Theo is a perfect gentleman and a classically cut hero, while Sophie is spunky and unconventional.  Though I think I enjoyed the mysterious Luc Grey much more, as well as Olivia.  The pace went up and down often, but overall it was adventurous and fun.  Though a little wordy at times, with two romance stories to work around, there was a lot to get caught up with.  Altogether an enjoyable read and made me want to go back and read the first book as well.

I received a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
