Tamara Leigh
Time Travel Romance
Medieval Romance

"But she was too busy melting into the carpet to give more than a glancing thought to hooking herself up to the EEG she had borrowed from the clinic."

Kennedy Plain has dedicated her career to studying sleep disorders, and she intends to finish her research even if it takes the last of the days that cancer has left her with.  But when Mac, her friend and patient comes to her with a story of time-travel her sleep deprivation trials have uncovered, she finds herself unable to forget it.  Mac claims to have traveled to medieval times, giving him a chance to save the lives of two young boys from their uncle, Baron Fulke Wynland.  At least that's who the history books have blames for their fiery deaths.  Though Mac claims the books are changing after each trip he makes.  When the time comes for Kennedy to become her own test subject, will she find that time travel is really possible, or is it simply all a dream?

My Opinion: This was an amazing tale of love, intrigue and excitement.  With a plausible case for time travel, the author takes you on an incredible journey of discovery and love.  Kennedy is a wonderfully written character with depth and realism.  My heart broke for her a few times.  Fulke was a great character whom you want to fall in love with yourself.  Their romance is sweet and tortured and by the end you're just pleading with them in your head to just give in to love.  Various side characters were fun and filled in both worlds to create a satisfying roundness for the story.  The action and mystery will keep you guessing and the whole thing will make your heart pound in anxiety and anticipation.  Great book I would highly recommend.

I was given a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
