"I just want to cry, but it seems like the whole town needs light bulbs today."
Katie McCullough has worked for years to restore the old lighthouse. A link to her life before her brother had been killed and the man who helped raise them was forced to retire. But when it comes time to buy the property, she is outbid! Not only is the new owner arrogant and unfeeling, but he's incredibly handsome. Not that Katie's tempted by Max. No, no one could live up to the mystery sailor who had comforted her after her brother's death. A man she had barely met. But as Max and Katie spend more time together, they might both find that there is more to the other than they had expected.
My Opinion: This was a cute romance. Sweet and fun, the story dragged you in to share in great emotions and fabulous love. the beginning was a little choppy and the background never completely explained, so I did feel like I missed out on some of the premise and explanation, but it recovered well. There were some great scenes that pulled me through and made it fun. Katie is spunky, sweet and devoted to the past and those who made her life what it is. She is a bit volatile and sentimental. Max is inexplicably rich and both wonderful and sweet. In other words the classic hero. Their romance is fun and makes you smile. Altogether a cute story once you get into it.
