  1. Gosh, that's a hard question. I'd have to stipulate a getting-to-know-you time before the wedding. I don't think I could just jump off the deep end. However, this is really funny, since I eloped with a man I'd only known for three weeks. We just celebrated our 48th anniversay, so I guess I did okay. LOL

    1. Lynda,
I thought I was the only one who did something like that. I was engaged after dating for only one week. Next month we will celebrate our 34th anniversary.

  2. Faced with poverty, I probably would, though I would hope that I could make stipulations of my own about the groom!!

  3. Without knowing anything about the groom, I don't think I could. I guess it also might partly depend on the extent of the poverty. :)

  4. Wow..that's a tough question. I cannot really see myself as a mail-order bride, but one never truly knows what she might do in a situation until she's lived through it!

  5. It's hard to say. I would think no, but faced with the situation, might change my mind!

  6. I'd probably say no because I've heard so many horror stories about mail order brides and the situations they find themselves in over the years!

  7. Absolutely. There were so few options for women many years ago, and it would be better than some of the other options available:)
