The Widow's Redeemer

Philippa Jane Keyworth
Regency Romance

"A book cover does not shield your voice from others' ears as you seem to believe."

After the death of her husband, the last thing Letty wants to do is to go spend a Season in London with her mother-in-law.  But with no money of her own, she doesn't have many options.  Her mother-in-law is determined to wed her off, despite her feelings to the contrary.  When Letty meets back up with one of the ton's most eligible bachelors, things may change.  Just as things seem to be going well, the past will creep back up and threaten their lives once again.  Can they avoid the scandals and debts that seem to follow, or is there no hope for this widow?

My Opinion: This was an interesting book that reminded me of those regencies that were actually written during the regency time period.  A meticulous and drawn-out story brings you slowly through the many events and turmoils of the main characters.  Letty is a dear character who is strong and independent.  The story was interesting and kept a good pace.  The romance was sweet and left you satisfied overall.  I felt that it missed out of a little bit of potential, but it was still a good read.

I received a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
