Two Turtle Doves

Leah Sanders
Regency Romance

"However, all the adoration in Europe would do nothing to shield him from her matrimonial schemes."

Baldwyn Sinclair is a duke.  He has no intention of listening to anyone - except his grandmother.  But the woman has gone too far this time.  Arranging a betrothal for him without even telling him!  And to a girl who the last time he has seen her was all skin and bones and no refinement.  There is no way out though, or is there?  Anastasia Trent has been in love with Baldwyn since she was a child.  Though when the time comes to announce their betrothal, he seems less than enthusiastic.  This is not the dream she had been imagining for years.  In fact, Baldwyn might not be the man she had been dreaming of after all either.  Though what can they do about it now?

My Opinion: This was a light and sweet romance.  There are some good scenes and fun interactions, but I felt like perhaps I missed a previous book.  There were good side characters that weren't really explained or introduced, which makes me think they were main characters previously, but left the story feeling a bit incomplete.  The main characters interactions were fun, though it seemed more like a string of cute scenes strung together rather than a smooth plot line.  It was interesting and syrupy sweet, which is great when you're in the mood for it.  I just felt like it left me wishing for more.

I received a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
