Unforgettable

Elise K Ackers
Contemporary Romance

"He was always the first to laugh, often the last, indisputably the loudest."

Emma's had a lot to deal with in the past few weeks.  Breaking up with Conner was hard, but his accident weighs even heavier on her heart.  When he finally regains consciousness, she is overjoyed.  That is, until they find out he can't remember the last three years of his life - exactly how long Emma had been in it.  Is this a blessed second chance, or will she lose him again?  Conner can't remember anything before the accident - including the accident.  But the beautiful Emma who is standing by his hospital bedside seems to have many of the answers.  And spurs on more questions - like why she won't tell them about their time together.  Or why they broke up.  Because from what Conner can see, together they had everything to gain and apart they have everything to lose.  What isn't she telling him?  If only he could remember.

My Opinion: This was a cute, but rather different romance.  There were very strong emotions being thrown around during the whole story, pulling on your heartstrings as it pulled on the characters'.  The conflict and emotions ran high and well.  I liked the smooth line of the plot.  The characters were likable and though I felt like the main issue that caused problems was not such a big deal personally, the author did a great job making it convincing and the characters' reaction understandable.  I did find there was a bit of either slang or technical terms that left me a bit lost, but that may be simply because I'm not used to them being used in regular vernacular.  There is a little closed-door action, which stays clean but rides the line.  An interesting story.

I received a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
