"She has come out of nowhere like an answer to prayer, but which prayer?"

Wren Romany has had no one to depend on but herself for the past two years.  Living as a bounty hunter, she longs for a place to call home once again - the chance to stay in one place.  Offering her hunting skills in exchange, Wren bargains for a place to stay for the winter.  But did she bite off more than she anticipated when she becomes entangled in plots of politics and intrigue?  Tourth Mynth returned from a failed war to find his home destroyed and his parents dead.  All that is left of his home is ruined and his people live with the tyrrany of another.  But how can he take back what was his when there are so many who want him dead?  Wren's appearance seems to be a blessing for the winter months, but perhaps she'll help in ways he can't yet imagine.  Perhaps she'll also find her way into his heart.

My Opinion: This was a lovely romance with a nicely created world where I hope many stories will be born.  A comfortable world was established for well developed actions and plot twists.  There were great main characters as well as satisfying side characters.  I loved how it was a complex world without making things confusing or over done.  Instead, the characters and plot pulled you along nicely with an engaging story that kept me turning pages.  The Christian slant is prominent but not preachy nor is it denominational.  Wren is strong but still feminine and the romance is engaging.  The action pulled me and kept me engaged.  This is a great beginning to a promising series.  By far my favorite book by this author so far.  I can't wait to read more of this series.

I received a free copy of this book to reivew.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.

  1. This book is on my list of books I'd like to read. I have read three books by Rossano and have really liked them all. I read the excerpt of Wren and was so caught up!
