Single Dad's Christmas Miracle

Susan Meier
Contemporary Romance
Book 2 of Series
A Father for Her Triplets, Single Dad's Christmas Miracle

"But on behalf of crappy, unfair things that happen everywhere, I feel somebody has to say they're sorry."

Clark Beaumont needs a temporary nanny and tutor.  Althea Johnson needs to not go home to her sister and face her past, at least not quite yet.  This opportunity seems like the perfect solution to buy her some time.  What she doesn't expect to find is more problems.  With a little girl who will only whisper to her father, and a young boy who is failing in school, she thought she had her hands full.  But add in a brooding and incredibly handsome father and a family with secrets as painful as her own and Althea isn't sure she knows how to help.  Especially when her own past catches up with her.  Clark doesn't need to be attracted to his son's new tutor, or any woman for that matter.  Nor does he need her butting in a trying to make changes he's not ready for.  But there's something about Althea that makes him willing to think that not all change is bad.

My Opinion: This was a cute story, as all Meier's book are, and a great one to get you started on the holidays.  The characters and story dealt with some pretty serious topics, but it was tackled well and realistically.  The romance was sweet and cute and fun.  The kids were likable as your heart goes out to them and they created a real feel to the home where the story takes place.  The plot was a little anti-climatic, and the inner dialogue got a little repetitive, but it's a great book to snuggle up with a blanket in front of a fire on a cold night.  A nice comforting Christmas novel you should check out.

I received a free copy of this book for review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
