The Kindling

The tales of the Wulfriths fall to the injured Sir Abel, unsure if he desires to heal and live without the abilities his body once had.  Especially by the beautiful Helene of Tippet who has been enlisted to help him recover.  The future he once envisioned is one that may never be again, due to his last conflict with Sir Robert, a man he cannot forgive, nor his father.  Helene will do her duty by Sir Abel, but his anger and hatred are too strong to fight against.  Especially since it is her own father and brother whom he cannot forgive, not that she'd tel him that.  She has found herself doing the unforgivable in falling for a man she cannot have, and must find a way to heal him and be on her way before the truth must be revealed.

My Opinion: I really enjoyed being pulled back into the world of the Wilfriths and their various siblings.  This book took up right where the last left off.  In fact, I feel like this love story actually spanned both the previous book as well as this one.  Which has good and bad points, but the romance itself was sweet and lovely.  It definitely makes me wish I could have read them all straight through in a row, and very anxious for the next one to come out.  Of course the characters have all kept well and interplay delightfully, creating a story you won't want to miss.  There were a few good inspirational aspects to this one as well, which were sewn seamlessly into the story.  A good read in a good series.

I received a free copy of this book for review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
