Mischief in Italy

Beate Boeker
Contemporary Romance

"'I'm supposed to find soul mates.' I stressed the first word. 'You, however, are supposed to have more fun.'"

Henry just doesn't want to see his adult son, Josh, waste his life on women more interested in their family money than in a real relationship.  But what starts out as an uncomfortable father-son talk becomes an unconventional deal.  Josh will pretend their substantial fortune has disappeared, in order to find a more substantial relationship, and Henry will put an ad in the classifieds to find something to have a more lighthearted relationship with.  Though Henry's ad ends up more outrageous than expected, as are the people who end up answering it.  As paths cross and relationships are made and broken, can everyone keep their stories straight?  And what happens when the truth of it all must come out?

My Opinion: This is a fun romp through multiple perspectives to come up with a silly and ridiculously enjoyable read.  The writing style had a cute bounciness as it tripped through different characters' points of view.  Both romances were sweet and created their own stories which, both of which you were anxious to have turn out well.  I must say that I really loved this change of pace and delightful book.  And it convinced me that I apparently have to visit a magical place called Lake Garda to see just what kind of mischief and magic is really there.

I received a free copy of this book to review.  No other compensation was given.  The summary and review are 100% my own.
